was incorporated in 2006 as the successor to Mega Gold Marketing Enterprise, Mr. Leong’s first solo foray into the gold distribution business. The Company sells jewellery made from repurposed scrap gold in bulk to 400+ jewellery brands in Malaysia and Singapore, several of which are publicly-listed companies with a presence throughout Southeast Asia. Most of the jewellery is made from 22K (916) gold, the most popular gold grade in the region.

While Mega does create custom designs from scratch for consumers seeking to surprise friends and family with a special gift, the Company primarily derives revenue from bulk sales of its locally-crafted gold jewellery to retailers.

This gives Mega an edge over end consumer-focused retailers: instead of spending limited resources on capturing a slice of an increasingly saturated retail market, Mega, as one of only a small number of gold jewellery suppliers, actually benefits from the presence of more retailers as these will invariably have to source their inventory from the Company, thus boosting sales and profifits.
